Release Spotlight: Wish Big Today – MFT Stamps

Welcome to the last spotlight day featuring the brand new MFT release. I hope you’ve enjoyed the inspiration! I love playing with different mediums to create fun backgrounds. On Monday, I shared a rainbow background using distress paint. Today, I’m sharing another card using a background I created with distress paint. I added a few colors to my glass mat with lots of water and smooshed my paper in it. I made a kind of marbling effect which was cool. I encourage you to play with your mediums and experiment. If you’re ever in a creative rut, just pull some colors of whatever medium and make some backgrounds until the spark hits you again.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Add picked raspberry, spun sugar, and salvaged patina distress paint to a glass mat with lots of water. Smoosh Tim Holtz distress watercolor paper into the paint repeatedly until you achieve the desired effect. Let the panel completely dry.
  2. Using the Wish Big Today Die-namics, die cut into the painted background panel. Adhere to an A2 card base.
  3. Die cut Wish Big three more times from Summer Splash cardstock. Adhere all of the layers together in place.
  4. On top, add crystal glaze and sprinkle some chunky glitter onto the glaze before it dries. Set aside to dry completely.
  5. Die cut a donut from Time to Make the Donuts Die-namics. Add a bow of silver thread on top and adhere onto the card front.
  6. Inside the card, stamp a sentiment from A Dozen Reasons to Smile to tie the card together.
